World Heart Day, 29-Sep Premier Hospital

World Heart Day is a campaign to spread awareness of heart health to ordinary people around the world. This initiative was established in 2000 to initiate people that they should care about their heart health. Most of the population suffer from heart diseases such as stroke, heart attack, heart failure and many more. Leading cause of death in the world is due to heart-related problems. Throughout the world, on September 29 every year, they conduct world heart day. According to the World Heart Federation, at least 80% of premature deaths (due to cardiovascular disease) can protect by controlling four main risk factors, such as unhealthy eating patterns, tobacco use, lack of exercise and alcohol consumption. Heart problems and deaths can overcome through active public participation as part of the World Health Day campaign. Various government and private organizations, non-governmental organizations around the world, are working to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease. The World Heart Federation and its members are actively involved in celebrations to inform the public about premature heart death and its risk factors (physical activity, tobacco use, alcohol consumption, and unhealthy diet). This campaign has many contributors to the World Heart Federation, including some of India's leading heart associations. This campaign promotes several effective prevention measures to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Why Make A World Heart Day at Premier Hospital : World Heart Day is to motivate the worldwide to reduce the number of deaths from cardiovascular disease worldwide. This is an international public awareness campaign to save and motivate them to live with a healthy heart. According to WHO, around 30% of all deaths worldwide caused by cardiovascular disease. Some of the most dangerous risk factors for heart disease and stroke are high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar, smoking habits, poor diet, being overweight and obese. It motivates people to participate and gain knowledge, undergo proper heart tests and follows other lifelong control steps. This day becomes a perfect day when many people promise to stop smoking, exercise every day, eat healthily, etc. to keep their hearts in good condition. This is to bring awareness to people pay attention to overeating, unhealthy eating habits, lack of exercise, bad habits, etc. which cause heart disease. For people, there is hope that heart problems can be prevented and controlled throughout life while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The main objective of World Heart Day is to improve global heart health by encouraging people to make lifestyle changes, and show ways that they can keep the heart-healthy. We aim to reduce deaths from non-communicable diseases by 2025 by reducing early deaths from cardiovascular disease.
