This time the world day is focussed on celebrating the work of doctors, nurses, and midwives in the crisis of Coronavirus. It’s our responsibility to remind the world about the critical role they are playing to keep the world healthy. Nurses and other health workers are working hard to stop the COVID-19 disaster. They are providing high-quality treatment with utmost care to the affected people. They play an essential role in providing end to end treatment for every patient. On this International health day, the World Health organization wanted to highlight the current status of the Nurses and Midwives in managing coronavirus Disaster around the world. WHO and its health partners making a series of suggestions to world health leaders to strengthen the workforce of nursing and midwife. It will be vital if we can achieve the national and global objectives related to universal health coverage. Not only in the crisis of communicable diseases like COVID19 but also the management of maternal and child health, infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, and in case of emergencies. Patient safety and integrated people-centred care is their motive. On this World Health Day, we are calling for your support to ensure that the nursing and midwifery staff are strong enough to provide the best healthcare facilities to everyone and everywhere they need.
