Did you know?  Diabetes is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases in children today. One out of every ten children suffering from diabetes. Every year IDF organizes World Diabetes Day on November 14 to raise awareness about the effects of diabetes. IDF - International Diabetes Federation which is an umbrella organization for more than 230 national diabetes associations present in more than 160 countries and territories. This year for World Diabetes Day they came up with the theme; Family and Diabetes to raise awareness of the impact creating by diabetes on a family physically and mentally. This year lets concentrate on promoting the role of a family member in the management, care, prevention and education of diabetes. If the diabetes problem is left untreated, it leads to life-changing complications like blindness, kidney failure, amputation, heart attack, stroke etc. In 2017 Diabetes caused four million deaths.
