This day is commemorated every year to help people understand the significance of nutrition for the body. It is celebrated to make people aware of the nutrition facts so that they will gain all the possible knowledge about nutrition.
It is hard to distinguish the truth about nutrition, and it’s significance for the human body. Nutrition enables human beings to carry out their work correctly and accurately.

Why Celebrate National Nutrition Week?
National Nutrition Week was celebrated initially in the year 1982 by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly members of the American Dietetic Association). Their main motto for the day was to encourage healthier living and promote proper nutrition among the citizens all over the country.
With a growing interest in public, this week-long celebration has gained immense craze and popularity. Since then, people throughout the country started celebrating National Nutrition Week every year in the first week of September.
