Burden Of Heart Disease In India

There has been a significant increase in heart disease over the past 20 years. The research revealed that more than 55 million people in India are suffering from cardiovascular diseases. Shockingly, they have become the leading cause of death in India, representing 31% of all global deaths.
The burden of heart diseases was preferably on the urban population, but now the incidence has changed. The rural people are highly prone to coronary heart diseases and strokes. Moreover, ischemic heart diseases accounted for around 15-20% of deaths in India.

Premier Hospital
Since the inception of Premier Hospital in 1991 till today, we have grown to unprecedented levels, due to our excellence in medical sciences and healthcare. Premier Hospital is the creation of Dr Mahesh Marda and when it was first established, was only a small, 30-bed hospital facility. Back then, we provided only secondary care to patients, but that certainly has changed in the present landscape.
